Three world monotheistic religions were born on the Holy Land, including Christianity, which for two thousand years has experienced a huge number of changes, reforms and modifications. The fact that it all began in Jerusalem and spread throughout the world through the “sea gate” of the Holy Land – Jaffa. And the most important events, later described in the Bible, took place in the oldest city. One of the apostles of Jesus, Paul, arrived here. Here he experienced the appearance of angels and the Voice of God, which commanded him to give up one of the main Judaism rules – kosher foods.

They believe it happened in the house of Simon the Tanner in Jaffa, and the place is preserved. In Jaffa, Paul began to talk about the life of Jesus, his sermons and immediately the Roman centurion Cornelius and his family became the first Christians “converted” to monotheistic faith. There are several churches on the territory of Jaffa – closed to visitors and ope to public visits – Armenian, Greek Orthodox, and Catholic Franciscans ones. We will focus on this in our quest tour, as well as take a stroll through the most interesting places of the ancient city.
